Domaine de Balme

Die höchste Erhebung dieses sehr sonnigen, teils in Frankreich, teils in der Schweiz gelegenen Gebietes ist der Balmer Pass auf 2186 m.

Man erreicht ihn entweder über das Dorf Tour oder die Seilbahn von Vallorcine.

Im Gebiet von Balme gibt es Wanderwege für alle Schwierigkeitsgrade, so z.B. den Anstieg zur Berghütte Albert I., eine sehr angenehmer Wanderung vor einer beeindruckenden Eiszeit-Kulisse, aber auch urwüchsige Strecken über Almwiesen und Wälder.

Ab Charmillon oder Posettes-Pass sind auf zahlreichen Mountainbike-Strecken Abfahrten aller Schwierigkeitsgrade nach Tour oder Vallorcine möglich.

Im Winter ist es das ideale Gebiet für Speed-Riding.

Das Chalet Charamillon und das Bergrestaurant am Balmer Pass freuen im Sommer auf Gäste, die Mutigsten steigen bis zur Berghütte Albert I. hinauf und genießen hier die leckere Blaubeertorte.
