With over 800 works related to the Alps and an area dedicated to skiing and mountaineering

the library is a must for all those interested in the history of Chamonix and the region. Situated in the centre of Chamonix, the library disposes of 70,000 documents: books, magazines, discs, games and CD-Roms.


Opening timesFrom 09/01/11 to 06/30/12 : open daily except on Mondays, Sundays.
On Tuesday, Friday, Saturday : from 2:30PM to 6:30PM.
On Wednesday : from 10:00 to noon and from 2:30PM to 6:30PM.
On Thursday : from 1:30PM to 5PM.

July and August : open daily except on Sundays from 3 PM to 6.30 PM.
On Wednesday : from 10:00 to noon and from 3PM to 6:30PM.
