Ski de fond

Chamonix has two distinct cross country skiing areas and offers an excellent choice of varied and picturesque circuits. There are gentle pistes linking Chamonix with the village of Les Bois or further up the valley the quietude of Argentière with skiing through pine forests. Snow conditions permitting, these 2 areas are linked via the village of Le Lavancher. If you're trying cross country skiing for the first time, begin on the easy trails and beware ! You might get hooked foreever !
