For those who prefer walking silently in harmony with their surroundings rather than striding along hastily, snowshoeing is an ideal way of discovering the local fauna and flora, peacefully muffled in its winter cloak. Let yourself be tempted by this ancestral sport which will take you into the very heart of nature. Don't hesitate to engage the services of a local guide, not only will they ensure your safety, but they will enable you to discover remoter areas of the valley, whilst sharing their knowledge and love of this winter landscape with you.
Approximately 17km of marked trails are accessible between Chamonix and Argentière. Three circuits allow pedestrians to discover the alpine scenery in all its diversity. The trails are marked in yellow on the cross-country ski map which is available from the tourist office.
If you dream of the trapper’s life, take a taster or a beginner’s lesson in dog-sledding. You will appreciate the quiet, the crunching of snow under the runners, and the panting of the dogs that will mark the rhythm of your day and make you forget the stress of daily life.
If you both like skiing and horses, why don't you discover Ski Joëring, a green way to enjoy the nature!
Drawn by good-natural horses, this original form of back-country sking is respectfull of the environment and tremendous fun !
Activity adapted to both adults and children (from 7 years old), provided they can use a drag lift.
We also propose winter pony trekkings, in the snow, on the forest roads.
