In Vallorcine, as in the Valle d'Aosta and in the Valais, large wooden buildings, constructed in trunks of larches more or less squared, used in the past to beat and winnow the cereals produced near the villages. Today, the usages have often been forgotten, but all are emblematic from the architectural point of view, for they have served to nourish men.
How were they built? Who and when? This will be the subject of this conference, which promises to be exciting.
