Mountain Bike
From north to south, the valley offers a large number of trails, the best known being the « Petits Balcons » north and south. Les Bois (2km north of Chamonix) also offers a variety of trails for all abilities. The valley's trails vary in length between 7 km and 30 km, the longest being Chamonix-Le Tour-Chamonix.
At the top of the valley on the Balme area, a downhill VTT run is reserved exclusively for bikers, whilst a second is being prepared for an exciting descent from Les Posettes to Vallorcine.
There are around 20 marked circuits that pass through the villages and hamlets of Servoz, Les Houches, Chamonix Mont-Blanc and Vallorcine.
Thanks to the lifts at La Flégère, Le Tour, Vallorcine and Les Houches, you have easy access to the valley’s downhill trails that give descents of 500m to 1500m (vertical height difference).

In July and August, use the new bicycle transport service. Three vehicles specially equipped with bicycle racks, and special timetables to serve Le Tour, Col des Montets, Vallorcine and Les Houches.
