Welcome to the Sea of Ice railway : Saturday 18 May 2013 : The Montenvers train, Glaciorium and crystal gallery are open. Open Glaciorium from 9am until 4:30pm. Gondola and Ice Cave closed for the day due to strong wind. (Please note : provisional closing date of Gondola and Ice Cave from evening 20th May until 7th June, 2013 inclusive). The last trip to visit the Ice Cave, 3pm. Last way from Vallée Blanche at 4:30pm. Timetable from 20th May 2013 until 7th June 2013 inclusive : First departure at 8:30am (9am departure depending on demand). A departure every 30 minutes (depending on demand). Last departure at 4:30pm. Last return from Montenvers at 5pm. (5:30pm return depending on demand). Beware : As a result of the large quantity of snow which has accumulated over the winter and the noticeably warmer temperatures we are experiencing, please take extra care off piste and make sure you get as information as possible from the relevant sources before you set out.
