The Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc® invites you to experience an extraordinary adventure by participating in one of the 7 tests offered to you:
The Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc® - the "queen" and original race: 170 km & 10,000 m D + - 2,300 runners - Departure Friday 08/28 - 6 p.m. - Chamonix
Mountain race, with many passages at altitude (> 2500m), in climatic conditions which can be very difficult (night, wind, cold, rain or snow), requiring very good training, suitable equipment and real capacity of personal autonomy. It is 6:00 p.m. and more than 2,300 of us share the same dream: to go around Mont-Blanc in less than two days. Each of us has carefully prepared for many months. Despite the excess of the event, we are calm because we know that nearly 2000 volunteers are participating in the same adventure, ready to offer with passion their help and comfort in a spirit of sharing and friendship. We are going to live an adventure out of time! In the moonlight, we will rub shoulders with the Aiguille de Bionnassay and cross the Col du Bonhomme. In the rising sun, we will cross the Col de la Seigne and enter Italy in the magic of Val Veni dominated by the Noire de Peuterey and the glaciers that descend from Mont Blanc. Later will come the Val Ferret, guarded by the Dent du Géant and the Grandes Jorasses before finally moving to Switzerland and savoring its carefully preserved environment. We will have to endure fatigue, overcome our doubts and our anxieties. Some of us, having pushed our limits to the extreme, will prefer to stop while keeping the hope of finishing the full round next time. The others will cross Bovine and Tseppes. Then, facing the Aiguille Verte, vertically above the Drus and the majesty of Mont-Blanc, they will dive towards the finish in the heart of Chamonix. Whatever happens, we will all meet on Sunday afternoon to celebrate the winners, to applaud even more the latest arrivals and to share, runners and volunteers together, our joys, our sufferings and our emotions.
CCC®: Courmayeur-Champex-Chamonix - Entrance gate: 100km & 6,100m D + - 1,900 runners - Departure Friday 08/28 - 9am - Courmayeur
Open air race largely using the international long-distance trail of the Tour du Mont-Blanc (GR TMB). Mountain race, with many passages at altitude (> 2500m), in climatic conditions which can be very difficult (night, wind, cold, rain or snow), requiring very good training, suitable equipment and a real ability to personal autonomy. The CCC® has gone from being a "little sister to UTMB®" to one of a kind and one of the most prestigious races in the world. The departure to the center of Courmayeur is imbued with an atmosphere that only the Italians have the secret of, and it is at the same time a rare moment of emotion to the sound of Vangelis music. The first kilo-meters, on an original route different from that of the UTMB®, quickly lead to more than 2500 m of altitude to one of the most exceptional panoramas that one can imagine, facing Mont-Blanc and at the Grandes Jorasses. The passage to the Grand Col Ferret (2537m) marks the start of the race in Switzerland, where you will taste the incomparable welcome of volunteers from La Fouly, Champex and Trient. Already in France, but so close to Switzerland, take a moment to enjoy the authenticity and charm of Vallorcine, before discovering, after a last and unforgiving climb, the Cheserys valley, a true corner of paradise with a sumptuous view of the Mont-Blanc massif. It’s time to finally join the arrival arch in the heart of Chamonix.
PTL®: La Petite Trotte à Léon - A great team adventure: 300 km & 25,000 m D + - 300 runners - Departure on Monday 24/08 - 8 am - Orsières
This ultra endurance pedestrian race takes the competitors on a long tour of Mont-Blanc (300km and 25000m of D +), crossing high roads, without markup on the ground, which requires a sense of orientation on and off trails. Each year the different route allows you to discover the richness and diversity of the French, Italian and Swiss paths of the Mont-Blanc massif.
The PTL® is carried out in teams of 2 or 3 inseparable and united, without final classification. The teams evolve in a harsh mountain environment requiring a certain technical, physical and mental level.the Arve.
OCC®: Orsières-Champex-Chamonix - The little Swiss sister: 55 km & 3,500 m D + - 1,200 runners - Departure on Friday 08/27 - 8:15 am - Orsières
The last week of August, trailers from around the world run across borders around the Mont-Blanc massif between France, Italy and Switzerland on one of the four UTMB® races which offers distances to cover beyond 100km. The "trail" effect is contagious and creates new desires! This great week around Mont-Blanc was just missing a race from Switzerland. On a shorter model, this race will be accessible to amateurs of medium distance (in the Trail Ultra Medium (M) category between 42 km and 69 km). So the less "Ultra" who want to start and participate in the UTMB® will find a race, with a format that allows them to enter the event. Orsières will also live at the pace of a desired departure for several years. The UTMB® from Chamonix to Chamonix discovers the 3 countries, the CCC® which flies from Italy passes to Switzerland at a hellish pace, the TDS® opens towards the Beaufortain and the OCC of main will honor Swiss Valais. The race will start from Orsières located in the south-west of the canton in the Val d´Entremont. This valley offers unique landscapes: last spurs and last needles of the eastern flank of Mont-Blanc drawing the Franco-Swiss border, glaciers hanging on polished rocks, fiery torrents ... The route of the OCC passes through the heart of this nature, in a special and typical atmosphere before joining Champex and the last equally magical part of the UTMB® or CCC® course.
The YCC: Youth Chamonix Courmayeur: 15 km & 1,000 m D + - 300 runners

The YCC is a challenge dedicated to young people born between 1997 and 2004, consisting of a prologue in Chamonix on Tuesday of the week of the event and a trail test in Courmayeur the next day. The YCC is the perfect opportunity for the new generation of trailers to taste the magic of the UTMB®: departures under the arch of the UTMB®, animations by the speakers of the event, monitoring of the race in real time on Livetrail®, a challenge that takes place in two countries ... The YCC has nothing to envy its elders.
The TDS®: On the Traces of the Dukes of Savoy: 145 km & 9,100 m D + - 1,600 runners
Departure on Tuesday 25/08 - 3 p.m. - Courmayeur
Beautiful, technical, wild, demanding, there is no shortage of qualifiers to describe TDS®. It links the Valle d'Aosta to Savoy, to discover the villages of the Tour du Mont-Blanc and the mountains that surround them. To explore this unique playground is to take paths where history and the mountains mix, the technicality of the terrain and the benevolence of its inhabitants. In addition to its traditional departure from Courmayeur, in 2019, the TDS® is going to discover the Beaufortain! By offering a crossing of the essential places of the massif such as the Pas d'Outray, with its breathtaking view of the Pierra Menta and the Grand Mont, mythical places of ski mountaineering, but also Hauteluce with its typical hamlets and its breathtaking view of the Mont-Blanc is a revisited TDS® that awaits runners. With its unique landscapes in the world, its friendly mountain atmosphere, and its many remarkable crossing points, the TDS® is more than ever a world class race and the adventure of a lifetime. It's your turn to write the history of TDS®!
The MCC® from Martigny-Combe to Chamonix: 40 km & 2,300 m D + - 1,000 runners
Departure on Monday 24/08 - 10 a.m. - Martigny
40 km of festivities created for volunteers and local residents
The runners will start from Martigny-Combe (Switzerland) and will join Chamonix on a course of 40km and 2300m elevation. This race aims to weld the teams. This is why volunteers and the inhabitants of Espace Mont-Blanc will have priority in this race. It will allow you to taste, over a more accessible distance, the pleasure of participating in the World Trail Summit. The organization ensures that this new event is designed with the same quality standards as its elders. It will take place entirely during the day and will allow each volunteer to join his team for the rest of the week. The event will evolve on new paths and will offer participants a crossing of the most beautiful hamlets at the top of the Chamonix valley.
An original and picturesque Franco-Swiss route. Very attached to the coherence of the proposed routes, the organization offers an original route. The runners will progress between the vineyards of the Valais hills, in the hamlets typical of the upper Chamonix Mont-Blanc valley, to discover the Chosalets, the Lavancher, the Tour or the Bois and of course the Argentière. In the heart of fir and larch forests, runners will appreciate some remarkable passages including the Bisse de Trient, a historic canal, which was used to transport water from glaciers to Swiss villages and alpine pastures. As for altitude enthusiasts, they will not be outdone with the ascent of the Col de Balme (2190m) marking the Franco-Swiss border. From there, participants will be able to admire the granite ridge of the Grandes Autannes and the laughing alpine pastures which welcome the source of the historic Arve!
