A picturesque lake formed after the Le Dérochoir landslide. It lies nestled in
a hollow at the foot of the Rochers des Fiz. Chalet-restaurant. Accessible by car.
Fishing is permitted in the lake (requires a fishing licence from Le Faucigny AAPPMA).
From the far end of the hamlet of La Côte (car park) on the heights of Servoz, follow the track which takes you into the forest and joins a path that comes from the main road. This path bears right and brings you out at Lac Vert. It is well worth walking all around the lake to take in the wonderful views.
Suggestion: extend your hike up to Plaine-Joux or Le Chatelet for the vista.
Alternative starting point at Vieux-Servoz or the centre of the village: allow around 2 hours to make it up to the lake.
More information at the Tourist Office, the High Mountain Office, and in our hiking guide.
Careful: path conditions may change - remember to check the latest information before setting off.
