Nestled below the Emosson dam, this great waterfall has to be seen when the
river is in spate. Maison de Barberine: museum. Open in July and August.
At the end of the village, a track crosses the meadows and turns into a small
footpath. After crossing the Nant du Rand (stream) keep on the higher path which
goes across the hillside. This joins the path coming from Barberine and ascends
in the direction of the river where you will find the waterfall.
Return : the same way via the village of Barberine: walk down about 100 m on
the RD 1506, then go up through a clearing on your right. Near the oratory, steps
lead over the railway tunnel and the track meets with the Eau Noire path which
goes up to your right towards Vallorcine.
Comments: Interesting to visit the Maison de Barberine (Vallorcine museum)
which may be found at the end of the village on the side of the RD 1506 road.
