Starting from Col des Montets: Behind the Chalet of the Nature Reserve, the footpath winds its way up a combe for 400m to the steep plateau La Remuaz: down below on the left, you will see the Jeunesse et Montagne monument (1943) and on the right the little Lac de la Remua. The path then takes you to the Tête aux Vents junction. Turn right. The path is clearly marked and ascends up to the left, following a ridge. If you keep to the right hand side footpath you will gradually come to see the 5 beautiful lakes as you get higher. After the last lake, the path becomes steeper and there is an equipped section to help you negociate huge rounded boulders. This brings you out into a hollow where you will find the lake and the mountain refuge.
